The new building has added a distinctive and futuristic touch to the city’s skyline. The 22-year old bank, which was a pioneer in the banking industry as the first privately owned bank in the country and currently has a 2.3 Billion Br capital, inaugurated the new Balcha Aba Nefsu Building on November 12. This is the 10th building for the bank as it expands its services to meet demands from new and potential customers. The building occupies a 2800 square meter area with ample parking and protected green spaces and is conveniently located along the Light Rail line. The building cost more than 257 million Br and was constructed by Giga Construction. Zeleke Belaye Architect, a celebrated local Ethiopian company consulted on the project. The event was attended by Mayor of Addis Abeba, and other dignitaries, along with hundreds of celebrants. The festivities included speeches, cultural dances and giveaways.
