A total of 75 million dollars constitutes a loan from the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) branch. The loan will be used to expand the opening Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project, which aims to develop a lasting solution to drought problems, build resilience and improve livelihoods of the pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in cross-border drought prone areas of the horn of Africa region.

The ADB gave a grant of 9.77 million dollars and a loan of 92.1 million dollars. The proceeds from the loan and grant will be used to finance the implementation of One Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene Program (WASH) program. The program is designed to increase access to improved water supply, and sanitation and hygiene.
