There has been activity from the government in recent times to minimise the number of illegal traders, or at least allot specific places for their trading. Despite these activities, peddlers trade on the major roads and the pavements, fighting for space with vehicles on the road. Here is shown the hot market under the Megenagha bridge, with the traders doing business freely without the ‘thief and police’ game that had previously been seen between the peddlers and the controlling body from the government.
