Plastic decoration

A young man named Dawit Adinew made a big circle-shaped decoration out of used plastic bottles on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the Ras Mekonnen area in Piassa and placed them up for viewing by people. Dawit wanted to remind pedestrians of the need to keep environment clean as the plastic bottles are major polluters. At the Ras Mekonnen Bridge lies a bronze likeness of Ras Mekonnen, Emperor Haile Silassie’s father, and a little water fountain that overlooks a river, where folks washed their clothes and little children bathed.
