Tasked with a wide range of reforestation and environmental protection activities the Ministry of Environment & Forest (MEF), the newest addition to the cabinet of the government, has found a new home in the new building named Bahar City Center, opposite Getu Commercial Center and next to Asai Public School, in Kirkos district. The Ministry, now headed by Belete Tafere has reportedly rented the new office on a renewable contractual basis, the first contract agreed to last until July 7, 2014 with a monthly rental price amounting to 70,000 Br. In the afternoon of Friday March 28, 2014, the staffs of the Ministry were busy evacuating their older premise located around the Gurd Shola area in Bole district.
