Ethiopian Road Construction Corporation (ERCC) has collected 523.7 million Br of profit before tax in the last fiscal year, which are 142pc achievements vis a vis its initial plan. This was gained from 2.8 billion Br revenues.
ERCC has also managed to build 348Km of roads which is 114pc of its plan, out of which 298Km are to connect the sugar projects across the country. Moreover, the corporation carried out a maintenance work for 14,400Km road.
In relation to the current fiscal year, it planned to build 128km comprising nine new roads and will maintain 13,905 km of roads. It also set to collect 3.4 billion Br and 499.5 million Br of profit before tax.
This was disclosed during a stakeholders meeting headed by Habtamu Tegegne, general manager of ERCC, at Ghion Hotel on August 27, 2015.
