Air India, Ethiopian Airlines in Codeshare Deal

Air India and Ethiopian Airlines signed a codeshare agreement last Thursday.

The codeshare agreement will allow the two airlines to access each other’s networks in Africa and Asia.

Ethiopian Airlines passengers will be able to access Air India’s network in Australia and Hong Kong. In addition to Indian domestic destinations, Air India will be able to access Ethiopian Airlines’ network in Africa.

The agreement will enable customers to enjoy better connectivity options and play a significant role in enhancing investment and commercial ties, according to a statement from Ethiopian Airlines.

The partnership between Ethiopian Airlines and Air India commenced in 2011 and currently includes 14 areas where each airline uses the services of the other.
