Back to the Basics

Ethiopia has had historic relations with the United Kingdom for centuries. The two countries have had rich diplomatic relations in the past covering a range of areas, including, trade, culture and education. Last week the United Kingdom took another big step by donating 14.9 billion Br to support the promotion of Basic Services phase III project. The project is aimed at expanding access and improving the quality of basic services in Ethiopia. The grant agreement was signed by Sufian Ahmed, (right) minister for Finance & Economic Development (MoFED) and Melanie Angela Robinson (left), DFID -Ethiopia country director on January 08, 2013.
