Capacity Building Bureau Utilises 2.9pc of Budget in Six Months

Despite receiving 65.9 million Br to undertake projects in the current fiscal year, the Addis Abeba City Capacity Building Bureau utilised only 1.97 million Br within the last six months, which is 2.9pc of the total budget, the Bureau announced last week, at the meeting held in Friendship Hotel.

Although officials from the Bureau admitted their failure, they told participants of the meeting, that came from regional capacity building bureaus that the Bureau would rather focused on giving training to its officials in order to make them capable.

The Bureau has provided training for 648 officials of the City Administration and 921 workers at the Ethiopian Leadership Institute.
