Chemical, Construction Input Export Generate $28.2m

Chemical & Construction Input Industry Development Institute has generated 28.2 million dollars from exports. It is 45pc of its target for the year. Compared to the previous year, it has improved by almost 11 million dollars.

The Institute exported cement, recycled plastic, detergents and ceramic. Cement export performed at 90pc of its target while soap detergent and ceramic performed below a percent.

The Institute created almost 9,000 employment opportunities, which is 113pc of the plan. It has also improved production capacity by 18pc. The Institution is tasked with promoting and enhancing the private sector in chemical industries to realise import substitution.
