Chinese Investment Hits $4b




Foreign Direct Investment inflow from China to Ethiopia reached four billion dollars, according to Ethiopian Investment Commission.

The value was registered by 400 investment projects, of which 100 were established in a joint venture arrangement with Ethiopian partners that are currently active in the nation.

More than 50 Chinese companies are also expected to take part in the Chinese business week conference to create partnership agreements with Ethiopian companies soon.

During the recently ended fiscal year, the country received foreign investment amounting to 3.7 billion dollars from 151 projects. China sits at the top of the list and is followed by India and Turkey.
