Addis Abeba Revenue & Customs Authority collected 29.7 billion Br tax revenue in the first 11 months of the last fiscal year.
The authority planned to collect 35.5 billion Br, higher than the amount that was actually collected. The revenue has shown an increase of 3.9 billion Br compared to the previous fiscal year.
For the current fiscal year, the Authority expects to collect 37.5 billion Br from taxes. The budget for the central district bureaus has spiked to 1.35pc and 26.4pc compared with the 29.47 billion Br and 11.02 billion Br allocated in the previous year, respectively.
Currently, there are 67,730 level A taxpayers, 49,729 level B and 193,227 level C taxpayers registered in the city.
