DESPERATE TO REFUEL




The start of each Ethiopian month might usher in new fuel prices prompting motorists to line up their cars in and around petrol stations to avoid increased prices. The fuel sustains the vehicles only for few days. The automobiles pictured here were heading in procession to an Oil Libya petrol station around Mega Bulding along the Africa Avenue in Kirkos District to refuel at the prices which lasted until the just concluded month of Tir. Some of the cars that ran out of fuel, like the Lada taxi in this picture, had to be pushed by their drivers all the way to the station’s fuel dispenser as they had already run out of feul.
