Electric Shock Claims 15 Lives in Hararge




It is reported that 15 people were killed in an accident when a high voltage electric cable snapped apart and fell on the ground at Korke, East Hararge zone of the Oromia Regional State.

Nine of the victims died instantly, while six other individuals died later after being transported to hospitals, according to Seyoum Degefa, public relations head of the zonal police.

Those injured in the accident received medical treatments at the Dire Dawa Dil Chora and Haromaya hospitals, and the police are investigating the cause of the accident, according to Seyoum.
