Ethiopian, ACM Alley to Manufacture Aircraft Accessories

Ethiopian Airlines Group signed an agreement with ACM Aerospace of Germany to set up a facility that will manufacture seat covers, safety belts, carpets and other interior parts to ACM as part of the company’s line of production.

ACM Aerospace is a manufacturing company that specialises in aircraft seats and other interior parts that are manufactured from fabric and leather materials with stringent requirements set by aviation regulators including the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The facility will manufacture the products with imported raw materials. It will also have the capability to certify the local leather and fabrics and use their products as raw materials, thereby supporting the industries. It is also expected to generate foreign exchange and create job opportunities for more than 100 individuals.
