Foreign Companies Drop Attendances Due to Forex Crunch, Unrest

About 16 foreign companies cancelled attendance at the Ethio-Transport & Logistics Exhibition launched last Friday.

The companies cancelled their attendances due to political unrest and foreign currency problem, according to Israel Tesfaye, the event lead organizer.

“For this reason, the local companies are not able to share an international business experience with foreign companies,” said Israel.

The exhibition is organized by Ethiopian Highland Marathon with a collaboration of the Ministry of Transport. It was attended by 25 companies from public transport, fright transports, vehicle assembly and manufacturing, packaging and financial sectors.
