Global Firm Sets Foot in Ethiopia

Meridiam, a global investor in public infrastructure, has inaugurated its East Africa regional office in Addis Abeba at the beginning of last week.

Specializing in the development, financing, and management of public infrastructure projects, Meridiam was founded by Thierry Deau in 2005. It has been investing in more than 60 projects managing assets of 6.2 billion Euros.

“We are excited to be establishing a firm foothold in the dynamic East African market to complement our presence in West Africa,” said Mr Thierry Deau CEO of Meridiam SAS.

Meridiam has invested in the 500MW Tulu Moye geothermal project in Ethiopia and working alongside its partners actively developing phases one of the project.
