New Media Complex Cornerstone Laid Down

Oromia Television and Radio is to build a new modern media complex around Bole Dembel. In an event to hold the cornerstone laying on April 12, 2017, it was revealed that the new complex is designed after the famous Sofe Oumar Caves.

“The building will have a body of water under the ground floor”, states Getu, the director of Oromia Television and Radio. He indicated that the complex is so sophisticated that there is a discussion of concerned bodies in order to decide whether domestic or foreign contractors should get the construction contract.

In the cornerstone laying ceremony high government and regional state leaders of the Oromia regional state were present. A remark was made that the Oromia Television and Radio service started its service a few years ago from its Adama center.
