NEW YEAR CUSTOM

Groups of amateur singers and dancers, as is the custom during the Ethiopian New Year, go from house to house and to eateries for a number of days leading up to the holiday. The people they play for usually reward the group with small amounts of money or pieces of Difo Dabo bread.
