Nib Becomes WorldRemit’s Fifth Partner

Nib International Bank partnered with WorldRemit, a global digital money transfer service provider, for online money transfers to Ethiopia.

The new partnership allows Ethiopians living in over 50 countries to send digital money transfers to Ethiopia.

Transactions to Ethiopia via WorldRemit from Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada have grown by over 160pc this year.

Nib became the fifth bank to partner with WorldRemit along with Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Abay, Dashen and Awash banks.

The bank has over 700,000 customers and a network of 215 branches across the country. The partnership supports WorldRemit’s plan to serve 10 million customers connected to emerging markets by 2020.
