Popular Celebration




A group of women with traditional drums, Kebero, sing to customers at a small cafe around Leghar. Spectators afterwards tip them for the songs. This was on the day of Ashenda, also known as Shadey, which was celebrated last week. A religious celebration, it is especially prevalent in the northern parts of the country.
