Qolo on the Way




Women are separating barley seeds from their husks after drying in the sun along a street in the Bale Mountains in the Oromia Regional State. The seeds are then roasted into a traditional snack known as Qolo. It is usually eaten together with traditionally baked bread during coffee ceremonies.
