Samson Wondimu Becomes Next Arrest in High-Level Corruption Case




The long-serving communications director of the Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA), Samson Wondimu, has been arrested, making him the 56th suspect in the recent high-level corruption case, which incorporates government officials, business people and brokers.

His arrest has raised the number of accused from ERA to nine, including Zaid Woldegebraiel, former director general of ERA, and his deputies Bekelle Nigussie and Abdo Mohammed, who are suspected of awarding road contracts to companies that did not take part in the bidding process
