THE BAJAJ ERA

Bajaj taxis are slowly but increasingly out competing minibus taxis in Mekelle town, the capital of Tigray Regional State, located 780 kms north of Addis Abeba. Although working effectively until recently, the minibuses have found it difficult to run around and serve commuters. A great many of them have, therefore, started relenting and giving up the service, totally leaving it to the Bajaj taxis to take control.
