State Largest Bank Gets New Head

The state owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) gets a new President in Bacha Gina, vice-president of the Cooperative Bank of Oromia (CBO). Bacha replaced Bekalu Zeleke, who has been appointed a few weeks ago to serve as a Vice Governor of the Central Bank, in charge of supervision.

Bacha has received the letter of appointment from the Public Financial Enterprises Agency today, according to sources close to the appointment.

Before moving to the CBO, Bacha was assistant Vice-President of Awash International Bank in charge of Credit & Risk Management.
