COME AGAIN

It was sad news when the city was told that the first Ethiopian hotel, Taitu Hotel, was partially destroyed by fire. Many businesses in the compound such as Jazzamba and United Bank S.C. were totally destroyed although the Bank managed to protect its documents and cash. The hotel began giving service within two weeks of the incident and United Bank has announced resumption of operations on April 15, 2015, after three months of closure. The picture here shows the Bank’s President Taye Dibekulu (right) leading the Board Chair Fasil Asnake (middle) to open the Bank officially. One of the Board members Azalech Yirgu is seen to the left attending the inauguration.
