Parliament sworn-in Abiy Ahmed (PhD) as Ethiopia’s fourth Prime Minister since 1995, today April 2, 2018.
Abiy addressed the nation, declaring today’s power transition as the beginning of a new chapter; advocating for national unity. “We sink and swim together,” said Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. He also invited Diasporas to return to Ethiopia. Abiy pledges to make Ethiopia a country that kindles hope among its youth, and not despair.
