Employers’ Confederation Comes to Life, Gets New Head

The first and recently formed Ethiopian Employers’ Confederation (EEC) has elected Getahun Hussien, president of the Addis Abeba City Employers’ Federation as its founding president. Getahun will serve the Confederation for the coming four years.

The Confederation is formed today after holding its first general assembly at the Intercontinental Addis Hotel, where members have elected a board of directors comprising 11.

Feteh Weldesenbet, president of the Ethiopian Hotels & Related Services Provider Employers’ Federation, was also elected as vice president of the Confederation while Gidana Abebe will serve as a secretary.
