Federal Police Officer Shot Dead After Killing Two Colleagues

A standoff lasted well over the night was concluded this morning after a Federal police officer was shot down on Africa Avenue (Bole Road).

People informed of the incident say the officer named Abdi was disgruntled, resulting in the death of two officers including one unit commander.

Residents nearby woke up this morning to learn the road between Wello Sefer and Olympia was closed. They had also heard a shot out through the night.

The Police officer, allegedly unhappy due to an internal duty appraisal, remained at large, holding on his ground at a terrace of a building where Parliamentarians reside, near Wello Sefer, until he was shot dead by police early today.
