Massive Support Rally in Bahir Dar

Massive rally in support of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s (PhD) administration underway in the town of Bahir Dar, the seat of the Amhara Regional State.

Addressed by Demeke Mekonnen, deputy prime minister and chairman of the ruling party in the regional state, the rally is decorated with what activists say is a 500-meter long Ethiopia’s tricolour. The stadium in Bahir Dar is full to the brim where Gedu Andargachew, president of the regional state, told the rally “reform, despite internal resistance,” is unstoppable.
