President Salva Kiir in Addis Abeba

Salva Kiir, president of South Sudan, has arrived in Addis Abeba this morning, where he was received by Worqneh Gebeyehu (PhD), minister of Foreign Affairs. He is scheduled to have audience with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) today, according to diplomatic sources.

Arriving a day ahead of a summit by heads of state in the region for IGAD summit, President Kiir is the second leader to make a courtesy call to Prime Minister Abiy.

Last week, Rwanda’s Paul Kagame spent three days in Ethiopia, having visits to number of public projects.
