Angry protestors have torched Bishangari Lodge with fire this morning, on the shores of Lake Langano, 200km south of the capital. The fire is still raging.
The fires follow fresh outbursts of violent protests in the country’s restive Oromia region on Monday after the passing of 55 individuals as a result of a stampede at the Irrecha festivity on Sunday.
On Wednesday, the regional government had announced it will take all the necessary measures to uphold the rule of law and peace and security in the region.
