Ethiopian Airport Enterprises (EAE) has collected one billion Br in revenue over the last fiscal year from services it delivers. This is an almost ten-fold increment from its achievement in 2004. The Enterprise established in January 2003 with capital of two billion Br, is responsible for economic and technical regulations. It also handles rental of airport facilities for Ethiopian Airlines and other airways. Currently, EAE administers 20 airports; over the past five years EAE has been engaged in a number of expansion projects including the one at Bole International Airport; it is expected to serve 20 million to 22 million passengers per year when it is completed. So far the EAE has spent two billion Br for operational and facility upgrades for airports across the country during GTP I.
