The house made up of plastic bottles filled with sand, without the use of any metal, was inaugurated by Simcon Technologies Plc in Adama last Thursday. It cost 70pc less than would have been the case if bricks were used instead as walls. With an expected lifespan of more than 600 years, the sample house with three bedrooms was built with the cost of 345,000 Br.
